Mewz Travels
Mewz seeks out the places that inspire and amuse. Appalachia is full of history in narrative, personality, and geography. Whenever and whereever we are fortunate enough to travel and experience the near and yonder, we like to share our journey with others so that they can layout their own adventures.
Follow hashtag #mewztravels on socialmedia to see what we are up to, and in the meantime, have a look at where we’ve been in Appalachia and nearby.*

Berea Kentucky
Where Art is Alive
Berea, Kentucky, is a city in Madison County known as the “Folk Arts and Crafts Capital of Kentucky,” home to Berea College, and a hub for outdoor activities like hiking in the nearby Pinnacles. It’s recognized for its artisan studios, galleries, and the Kentucky Artisan Center, attracting visitors with its rich arts scene, historic buildings, and access to Appalachian trails. The city is experiencing significant growth and offers a blend of small-town atmosphere with cultural heritage and modern amenities.
Berea is also home to a plethera of friendly, creative humans who support many causes. Visit http://bereatourism.com for current details about events, lodging, places to eat, and things to do. Berea is enjoyable on a budget and a weekend, it also happens to be nearby our Mewz ‘HQ’…
Here are some of our photographic highlights of my experience in Berea, Kentucky.
