Find the Kentucky worth getting out of the house for. A MEWZ in the Mountains is a Kentucky storytelling and discovery brand created for people who want to experience more of the place they call home. Through conversations, stories, recommendations, guides, and experiences, we introduce you to the people, places, food, music, adventures, and hidden gems that make Kentucky worth exploring.
Listen. Discover. Go.
At the heart of MEWZ is our podcast where we talk with the people who inspire and amuse, and uncover the stories behind the places you may have driven past, wondered about, or never knew existed. But MEWZ doesn’t stop when the conversation ends. We take what we discover and turn it into ideas for your next adventure: where to eat, where to stay, what to see, what to experience, and what is happening right here in Kentucky.
Mewz does the discovering. You do the exploring. There is a lot of Kentucky out there. Some of it is famous. Some of it is hidden around the corner. Some of it has been here forever, just waiting for someone to tell you why it matters.
MEWZ is your invitation to find it.
We curate the places and experiences we believe are worth your time and money and tell you the stories that make you want to go there yourself.
More than a podcast. MEWZ brings together storytelling, tourism, local discovery, and real-world experiences. Listen to the people and stories that make Kentucky interesting. Explore our recommendations for places worth seeing, eating, staying, and shopping. Experience Kentucky through curated adventures, events, and opportunities to get out and go. Discover the businesses, communities, creators, and people who make Kentucky special.
You don’t have to leave Kentucky to have an adventure. You just have to know where to look. Whether you’re looking for your next weekend escape, a great meal, a beautiful drive, a memorable night out, a story worth hearing, or simply a reason to put down your phone and go somewhere. MEWZ is here to help you find it. And we’re just getting started. A MEWZ in the Mountains is building a community around curiosity, discovery, and the belief that some of the best experiences are closer than you think.
An amazing experience is closer than you think. Let’s go find it.
