Holler Girl
Holler Girl music festival is hosted by Kristen Murphy and Jessie Workman in cooperation with Greenhouse 17. Its mission to raise awareness on the topic of domestic violence. Each year, a number of workshops and activities are planned to highlight resources and community. Held at Cliff to Creek Campground in Irvine Kentucky.
Healing Appalachia
This year, Healing Appalachia was held in Ashland, Boyd County, Kentucky. Tyler Childers and Christ Stapleton headlined in their homestate alongside a stellar line up of talent. The event is hosted by Hope in the Hill, a sponsor of this years Festival of the Mewz and supporter of WMMT. If you were wondering, as some may, events of this magnitude require a professional photographer, who signs a lot of release forms. This year, for reasons not disclosed to the press, we were denied access to photograph Stapleton and Childers.
Berea Earth Warriors Concert
Berea Earth Warriors Concert Series is hosted by Amber Sheaffer and her husband Camryn (Living Sound Delusions). Earth Warriors focus on saving the planet one event at time by raising awareness, hosting clean ups and working the community garden among other activities. This years event was held at Bash on the Branch event stage in Irvine Kentucky.
